eve of christmas
hey hey....its yet another christmas eve...da time when we pig out...bt seriously...christmas, sad 2 say,has fallen prey to commercialism...juz look at orchard road...when christmas comes round da corner,all da crap sales come out...as it is da festive season,n christmas is a "time of giving", all da department stores take full advantage to earn more money...4 da past 12 years i hv thought of christmas as one of da most important dayz in da world...bt dis year a terrible realisation has struck me...christmas is on the verge of becoming just a virtual money-spinner for stores...in da first place,25th dec was neve da day Jesus Christ was born,n nobody noes when His actual birth date was...bt dey set it on da 25th becoz it used to b a day 4 a pagan festival...its gradually became known as Christmas Day...bt over 2000 years on,christmas is, in my opinion, gradually becoming a pagan festival again...sigh..
